Structured guidance for seniors exploring trade schools, gap years, certificate programs, or direct career entry.
What this includes
Ideal for
Seniors and their families who are weighing their options and aren't sure if a traditional four-year college is the right next step. This package provides a structured environment to explore trade schools, gap years, certificate programs, or direct career entry, ensuring the student has a concrete plan for "Day 1" after graduation.
What’s included
This package includes ten one-on-one advising sessions, each lasting 55 minutes, focused on self-discovery and tactical planning. It includes personalized career assessments and administrative support to navigate non-collegiate applications and deadlines.
- ✓Personalized Strengths & Career Mapping: We use professional interest inventories and personality assessments to identify high-satisfaction career paths tailored to the student's unique skills.
- ✓The "Alternative" Shortlist: We build a strategic list of 5–7 actionable options, which may include technical schools, reputable gap year programs, apprenticeships, or specialized associate degrees.
- ✓Professional Brand Building: We go beyond a basic resume, building a professional portfolio that includes a LinkedIn profile, a master resume, and a cover letter template for job or program applications.
- ✓"College as an Option" Strategy: For students who are 50/50 on college, we assist with a limited safety application process to ensure the door remains open while they explore other paths.
- ✓Interview Coaching & Networking: Two dedicated sessions on professional communication, including mock interviews for jobs or program admissions.
- ✓Financial Literacy & ROI Analysis: A clear-eyed look at the costs of various paths versus starting salaries, including guidance on vocational grants, trade scholarships, or entry-level budgeting.
- ✓Post-Graduation Roadmap: A finalized First Year Plan that outlines specific milestones for the 12 months following high school graduation to ensure momentum isn't lost.
10-Session Breakdown
- •Discovery Phase (4 Sessions): Unlike college applicants who usually know the goal is a school, these students need more time on the why. This includes reviewing assessments, shadowing research, and interviewing professionals in fields of interest.
- •Action Phase (4 Sessions): Building the resume, drafting Statement of Purpose essays, and submitting 3–5 applications.
- •Transition Phase (2 Sessions): Focusing on soft skills—mock interviews, financial budgeting for the first year, and professional etiquette.
