Guiding students toward their best-fit futures
I founded Future Path Advising to help students and families navigate the transition from high school to their next chapter with clarity, confidence, and care. I’ve spent my career watching students grow from three very different positions. As a Director of Admissions, I’ve evaluated student potential, as a Corporate HR Executive, I’ve identified talent, and as an Academic Counselor, I’ve guided student outcomes.
Future Path Advising emphasizes fit, guiding students toward academic, career, and life paths that align with who they are, not just what looks impressive on paper. Through ethical guidance, personalized planning, and strong parent–student support, we help families make informed decisions while reducing stress.

Corey Ellis, Founder & Lead Advisor
We help students and families navigate post–high school decisions with clarity, confidence, and care. Whether it's choosing the right college, exploring career paths, or crafting compelling applications, we provide expert guidance tailored to each student's unique goals and circumstances.
- Listen first – understanding each student's unique story and aspirations
- Personalize guidance – no cookie-cutter advice or one-size-fits-all plans
- Partner with families – empowering families to make informed decisions while reducing stress
- Focus on fit – finding opportunities that align with who students truly are
Years of experience in college admissions and career counseling inform our work, but it's our commitment to genuine relationships that makes the difference. We get to know our students as individuals, celebrate their strengths, and help them navigate challenges with compassion and expertise. The result? Students who feel empowered to make confident decisions about their futures.
“We have used Corey for both of our daughters' college search and application processes. My daughters are very different... and Corey was able to customize the experience for each. I plan to use the services again when my youngest starts his search in 2 years."
